For the application of fingerprint powders and evidence staining chemicals, forensic experts are equipped with special instruments like vented cupboards or fume hoods. For the subsequent photographic documentation of the evidence suitable safety equipment is often missing. With PHOTOvent LH151 Attestor Forensics offers a modern downdraft filter workstation, especially designed for safe evidence photography.
The positive feedback following last year's release of PHOTOvent LH151-L (upper picture) and the big number of enquiries from laboratories with restricted space, prompted us to design a smaller model, which we present under the name PHOTOvent LH151-S(lower picture).
Within the process of designing the smaller model, a number of design changes took place, that now are introduced also with the largr model. Besides many known features PHOTOvent now offers improved ergonomy and via the smaller model also a system with competitive pricing. Many optional features allow the systems to be tailor-made to your demands.
The stainless steel covered working surface of both models can be adjusted electrically and contains a downdraft venting system, consisting of a pre-filter mat type F5 and a fine particulate dust cassette H13. An electrically movable camera arm with a control unit for coarse and fine movement (with an accuracy of approx. 0.3mm) allows accurate camera positioning. A shelve for accessories such as light sources that moves along with the camera arm and features a cable chain for secure stowing of connection and power leads prevents camera connectors to be damaged by blocakges caused by too short cables during camera arm movement.
