At ISC West: Check Out The Latest in Gunshot Detection Products

April 2, 2019
ISC West takes place on April 10-12 in Las Vegas.

Rowley, Massachusetts – April 2, 2019 – Shooter Detection Systems (SDS) will return for the 5th year in a row to exhibit at the International Security Conference and Exposition (ISC West) at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas April 10-12, 2019. SDS will highlight both indoor and outdoor gunshot detection solutions at the show, including certified integrations with Genetec, Everbridge, Avigilon, C-CURE 9000, Honeywell, Mutualink and other partner solutions. SDS will also unveil new safety testing and performance certifications, adding to the vast list of third-party validations of their gunshot detection products.

“2018 was the year that the value of indoor gunshot detection was widely realized,” said Christian Connors, SDS Chief Executive Officer. “The system has surpassed 50 million hours without experiencing a false alert. The adoption in the U.S. and overseas has significantly expanded, and we have enhanced the software security features of the system considerably in order to address the stringent requirements of our customers.”

Corporate and Public Safety professionals still list Active Shooter as the “top threat” facing their enterprise, according to a recent survey by Everbridge, an SDS partner. The large majority of SDS customers continue to be household name Fortune 500 corporations who recognize the active shooter threat as one that can no longer be ignored, according to a recent report in the Wall Street Journal and on Fox Business News in February 2019.

“When you’re trusting gunshot detection alerts to automate security actions, to alert tens of thousands of employees, to dispatch SWAT teams – it has to be right, every time,” said Richard Onofrio, SDS Vice President of Hardware Engineering. “Our customers and law enforcement agencies demand the highest levels of accuracy and performance achievable in a gunshot detection system. We are relentless in our pursuit to push past the limits of what some might consider acceptable performance, consistently driving our development far beyond conventional standards.”
