Dec. 19--MANSFIELD -- Three more squatters have been arrested in connection with the burglary of a Mansfield home, police said.

Sandra LaTour, 51, Selena Brown, 29, and Andre Brown, 29, were in the Mansfield Jail on Saturday facing charges of theft of property and burglary of a habitation. Bail is expected to be set this morning, a jail official said.

They were arrested at 9:30 a.m. at the home in the 2300 block of Hillgrove Court while collecting their belongings, Tarrant County Constable Clint Burgess said.

Their arrests bring the total to eight squatters arrested by police in Tarrant County.

Early Tuesday, two squatters were ordered to vacate a Mansfield home they had tried to claim. The couple were arrested on suspicion of burglarizing the house on St. Bartholomew Drive. Andrew LaTour II and Alicia LaTour had removed deadbolt locks and garage-door openers from the $224,900 house, Burgess said.

Sandra LaTour, mother of Andrew LaTour, also filed an affidavit of adverse possession on a home in the 1700 block of Clover Hill Road in Mansfield.

Sandra LaTour has claimed to be in a relationship with Ken Robinson, the squatter who took a home under adverse possession in Flower Mound in June, Burgess said.

Burgess said Robinson has been invited by Southern Methodist University's Law School to speak about how to file adverse possession on properties.

The two are trying to sell books about how to take homes for minimal cost via their websites.

Burgess said the house on Hillgrove Court was the last in Mansfield where an adverse possession affidavit was filed.

This month, Tarrant County District Attorney Joe Shannon charged two other squatters -- David Cooper and Jasmine Williams -- with burglary of a habitation and theft of more than $200,000 involving an Arlington home they tried to claim.

Earlier, Anthony Brown was charged with burglary of a habitation involving another Mansfield home, records show. Brown was arrested after the homeowner, a traveling nurse, reported him.

Constables from Precinct 7 and Arlington and Mansfield police have been investigating all properties where an adverse possession affidavit has been filed, Burgess said in a statement.
