Jan. 04--MANASSAS, Va. -- A man accused of slashing the neck of a Prince William Hospital visitor with scissors Monday night was on PCP at the time of the attack, Manassas police said Wednesday.

Marlon Summerville was still armed with the scissors when officers arrived at the hospital on Sudley Road about 11 p.m. that night, said city police Sgt. Eddie Rivera.

Summerville was tasered more than once, bitten by a police dog on the left arm, pepper sprayed and hit with a baton before he dropped the scissors, Rivera said.

The victim suffered injuries that didn't appear to be life-threatening, he said.

Summerville was charged with malicious wounding, assault on a law enforcement officer, escape by force and abduction, according to court records.
