A total of 23.40 kilograms of cocaine -- valued at $2.76 million -- was seized during a 20-month multi-agency investigation targeting drug rings in Georgia and South Carolina.
The Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team, Beaufort/Jasper Multi-Agency Drug Task Force and DEA teamed up for "Operation Full Circle" to dismantle the three drug rings, according to The Savannah Morning News.
On Monday, Chatham-Savannah officials announced that 23 kilograms of cocaine, worth more than $1 million, seized during one traffic stop was the largest drug seizure in the agency's 18-year history.
Thirty-nine suspects have been indicted on charges of conspiracy to violate the Georgia Controlled Substance Act.
Investigators also seized 10.9 pounds of marijuana, 10 firearms from convicted felons and a total of $312,769.
