LEBANON, Pa. (AP) -- A man who has been wanted in connection with a 1986 murder in Puerto Rico is behind bars in Pennsylvania.

Martin Pane of the U.S. Marshals Service says 63-year old Felix Pinero-Baez was arrested without incident Wednesday in Lebanon.

Officials say they've been looking for Pinero-Baez since January 1987, when an arrest warrant was issued charging him with homicide.

He was charged with fatally shooting a woman who allegedly saw him commit a hit-and-run in 1986 in Carolina, Puerto Rico. Pinero-Baez was never arrested for the crime.

Pinero-Baez is being held at Lebanon County Prison. It couldn't immediately be determined if he had an attorney, and officials weren't sure how long he's been living in Pennsylvania.
