Tenn. Deputy's Accused Killer Caught after Nearly Weeklong Search

A man accused of killing a Tennessee deputy was apprehended Tuesday after a nearly weeklong manhunt.
Kenneth Wayne DeHart, 42, was taken into custody in Knoxville, according to a social media post by Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berronq. DeHart faces first-degre murder charges steamming from the fatal shooting of Blount County Sheriff's Deputy Greg McCowan.

The shooting happened during a traffic stop in Maryville on Thursday. DeHart also is accused of wounding Deputy Shelby Eggers in the incident.
Photos posted on the sheriff's office Facebook page show DeHart's arrest. In the photos, law enforcement officers dressed in tactical are seen taking DeHart into custody.
"Now the judicial process will take place in the court system. Thanks to all of our law enforcement partners and our community," Berrong wrote on social media.
