DALLAS — A Southwest Airlines plane preparing to take off from Dallas Love Field was struck by gunfire Friday night.
Dallas police responded to a shooting call at about 9:50 p.m. at Love Field.
A spokesperson for Southwest Airlines said Flight 2494, which was headed to Indianapolis had to taxi back to the terminal after a bullet struck the right side of the aircraft, just under the flight deck.
None of the passengers or crew were injured, and passengers were accommodated on another flight, the Southwest spokesperson said. The airplane hit by gunfire has been removed from service.
Dallas police are still investigating the incident, a department spokesperson said Saturday morning. No arrests have been announced.
