Jacksonville, NC (November 26, 2018) - For over ten years Garmont has been producing boots for the United States Military and has a strong reputation for designing functional, high quality and great fitting footwear for demanding military, law enforcement or ems/rescue applications. As Garmont looks ahead to 2019, the design team introduces two new tactical boot collections built with core Garmont technologies that military personnel trust and respect. The new collections will be showing at the SHOT Show in January 2019.
Trusted and Respected While on Duty
Garmont is committed to researching and applying cutting edge materials, technologies and innovations to its product design with the goal of continuously elevating the user experience in terms of comfort, fit and function. Garmont’s Anatomically Directed Design enables the foot to utilize its own natural ability to stabilize, absorb shock and propel efficiency. It also offers an enhanced fit by more closely matching the asymmetrical shape of typical feet. Garmont Tactical boots incorporate this design philosophy with features that will enhance the boots’ performance while on duty.
New for 2019 - The Atlas Collection and Nemesis Collection
The Garmont Atlas Collection (pictured above) represents the latest tactical versions of Garmont’s boot line-up. The Garmont T 8 Atlas GTX®, MSRP $ 199.99 is a Gore-Tex Extended Comfort waterproof/breathable boot that offers comfort and protection for a variety of demanding situations and difficult terrain. The T 8 Atlas GTX is ideal for assignments requiring long periods of standing or extensive walking, even under a heavy load. The new Vibram® Atlas outsole provides optimal grip on varied surfaces. Available in a natural suede Coyote or in an additional version the Garmont T 8 Atlas GTX® FG MSRP $209.99 in full grain Black leather. These boots feature reinforced stitching, run-resistant fabric and nylon webbing for trusted performance in the field. The T 8 Atlas (Non-Gore-Tex) MSRP $164.99 is also available in a fast dry option for warmer weather conditions and desert climates.
erGo Last
The contours of this anatomical last are smooth and rounded to more closely follow the shape of the human foot. Footwear built on this last wrap the foot better, especially the heel and bottom of the foot, for a more comfortable, ergonomic fit.
Double Damper-Enhanced Comfort and Stability
The Double Damper is a two-part system for superior shock absorption. The external midsole absorbs the terrain and reduces ground impact while the internal shock absorber dampens heel impact. The combined result is enhanced cushioning and less fatigue. The inner layer is more anatomical in the heel and underfoot areas to help reduce foot movement within the shoe, adding greater comfort and stability overall.
Extended Vibram Megagrip® outsole provides grip in wet or dry conditions and the wrap around shape makes the boot agile and the added support gives the wearer great confidence in all conditions.
Lenzi Putek is the latest innovation in ballistic fabric. This construction is virtually tear proof and still highly breathable.
