Standard everyday plastic and metal hangers can typically handle a camo shirt or a light jacket without too much difficulty. Now if you try storing a full turkey vest, diving gear, or even fire-fighting equipment on one, you’ll likely return to a heaping mess on the floor of your closet. Ontario Knife Company (OKC®) and its custom molding, machining, and tool works division Jericho Tool designed a solution for this problem with its new patent-pending Jericho Hanger.
The Jericho Hanger is made of rigid injection-molded polypropylene and features a thick, reinforced structure that is designed to hold up to 250 pounds of gear. At this weight specification, you can almost use it as a spreader bar when you are ready to skin your next doe! That said, OKC didn’t stop with simply making the Jericho Hanger sturdy, but engineered it to include various mounting points to accommodate hunters, anglers, and first responders alike.
On the shoulders of the Jericho Hanger are indentions that will hold straps firm, so items like waders and vests will not slide off. Two vertical bars inside the frame not only add rigidity and strength to the hanger, but also add points of connection for items with clasps or carabiners. The bottom support of the Jericho Hanger features two more framed slots for additional connection points, as well as a double hook that can be used for holding boots or other items with small-diameter straps.
Bulky and heavy items have been relegated to unorganized mountains in the bottom of the closet or corner of the garage for far too long. Now, with a handful of Jericho Hangers, your gear can be stored with the care it deserves. Proudly designed and manufactured in the United States; the Jericho Hangers come in Black, Orange, Red, White, and Blue with an MSRP of $12.95 each.
