Safariland's four slimline-style magazine pouch models are designed to carry the magazines on their edge to save space on crowded duty belts. Offered in both open top and covered models, these pouches carry magazines in a space much slimmer than traditional-style magazine pouches. Full of features, the slimline magazine pouches are positioned "face out" instead of "side out" to help conserve space, and they feature both vertical and horizontal belt slots for versatile wear on 2.25-inch (58mm) equipment belts. They are also optimal for use on Safariland tactical rigs due to their minimal width. Further, a magazine tension screw located between the two pouches allows for easy magazine retention adjustment. The Model 78 Slimline Double Magazine Pouch (pictured) has a flap closure with snap, while the Model 79 Slimline Double Magazine Pouch offers an open top design. Also offered in a triple pouch design, the Model 775 Slimline Open Top Triple Magazine Pouch and 777 Slimline Triple Magazine Pouch with snap closure provide space for three magazines in an area comparable to standard dual magazine pouches. Slimline Magazine Pouches are constructed of durable SafariLaminate and are available in a wide variety of scuff-resistant finishes, including Plain Black, Basket Weave, Hi-Gloss and STX Tactical finishes, as well as Nylon-Look, FDE Brown and Foliage Green.
