Sempermed USA's SemperShield® standard cuff boasts extra thickness and protection. SemperShield® standard cuff will be the company's thickest nitrile exam glove, with a weight of 7 grams (size medium) and an average fingertip thickness of 6 mils. Additional benefits of this exciting new glove are its protection against fentanyl exposure and ESD properties.
Along with four other Sempermed® brands, SemperShield® standard cuff gloves passed fentanyl permeation testing (conducted by an accredited, DEA-compliant independent lab). Proper hand protection is essential to protect the user against the effects of fentanyl exposure, which range from disorientation, coughing, sedation, respiratory distress or even cardiac arrest occurring within seconds of contact.
Additionally, our new SemperShield® standard cuff gloves are ESD tested and approved. ESD, or electrostatic discharge, is the sudden flow of electricity between two electrically charged objects caused by contact. This can affect users in multiple industries, including the manufacture sensitive electronics and flammable environments.
