Video: Colo. Police Catch Burglary Suspect with His Pants Down. Literally

March 4, 2024
While responding to a verified burglary alarm at a property, Lakewood police were surprised to catch a suspected burglar taking a bathroom break.

Body camera footage showed Colorado police officers nabbing a suspect taking a bathroom break in the middle of a reported burglary last month.

The incident happened Feb. 29 when Lakewood police responded to a verified burglary alarm at a location, the department stated in a social media post. A drone was deployed through the structure, and officers began to search for the suspect.

They eventually found him after opening the door to a bathroom and catching him sitting on the throne, so to speak.

“I’m on the s–tter, bud,” said the suspect, who is seen raising his hands in body camera footage from the incident.

With guns drawn on him, the suspect stood up and pulled up his pants before surrendering to police.

"While we see a lot of things in the line of doody, we had no clue what awaited us this time!" stated the department.

The suspect was arrested and charged with second degree burglary.
