Four girls were detained and criminal charges were brought against them after New Castle County police were called to stop a fight that erupted outside a high school football game.

Body camera footage captured Delaware police trying to stop a fight that erupted at a high school football game last month.

The incident happened Sept. 16 outside a football game at Brandywine High School in New Castle, WTXF-TV reports. New Castle County police responded following 9-1-1 calls reporting the fight.

"There's fighting everywhere, everywhere, all four corners of the field," one caller told authorities.

In the footage, officers are seen trying to end the hostilities that involved multiple girls who were surrounded by bystanders. One of the girls allegedly tried to strike an officer before she was pulled to the ground.

Police detained four girls once the brawl had broken up, and criminal charges were filed against them.
