Texas Officer Saves Woman Sitting on Railroad Tracks

Richmond Police Officer Ramon Morales rescued a woman who was sitting on railroad tracks Sunday.

A Richmond, Texas police officer rushed to rescue a woman who was sitting on railroad tracks in the path of an oncoming train.

Officer Ramon Morales responded to the call around 1 a.m. on Sunday in the 100 block of Douglas just as the crossing arms were going down as he spotted the woman in the train's path, according to The Houston Chronicle. The 27-year-old, who has been with the department only 10 months, jumped from his cruiser, ran to the woman and dragged her off of the tracks and to safety.

His cruiser's dashboard camera recorded the entire incident.

The woman, who taken to OakBend Medical Center in Richmond for evaluation was uninjured, as was Morales.
