A rookie Kansas City police officer showed off his "best" moves during a dance-off with a group of neighborhood kids over the weekend.
Officer J. Krebs was challenged by his partner after they drove by the dancing children near Spruce and Anderson Saturday night, according to WDAF-TV.
The police department posted the video on its YouTube page after a resident shared it with them.
The 26-year-old officer can be seen in the video showing off his breakdancing, moonwalking and other moves and to see if he could out-dance the kids.
"He was pretty fun. I'm glad that he's not like showing us that cops can be bad but also cops can be cool to little kids," Natalie Garcia, who recorded the video, said.
The officer gave the children the "top prize" in the dance-off: Jolly Ranchers.
Krebs said that he had a good time and hopes that the positive interaction with police makes a lasting impression on the kids.
"I hope it's something that they can remember and that when they grow to be adults and they actually need us for something, they'll actually call us when they need us."
