Texas Officer Struck by Vehicle Makes Arrest

A Castle Hills police officer was injured after being struck by vehicle during a foot pursuit Sunday morning, but still managed to make the arrest.

A Castle Hills, Texas police officer was injured after being struck by vehicle during a foot pursuit, but still managed to make the arrest.

The incident began officers responded to a call about a man on top of a roof of a home throwing bricks around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, according to WOAI-TV.

When police arrived, the man began throwing bricks at them before jumping off the roof and fleeing the scene.

A foot chase ensued that went onto Loop 410 when an officer was side-swiped by an oncoming vehicle.

Despite his injuries, the officer continued the pursuit and apprehended the suspect.

The injured officer was transported to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition.

Charges are pending against the suspect and the driver of the vehicle that struck the officer didn't stop and is being sought by authorities.
