The BearCat MedEvac LE or “MedCat” was designed to meet the combined requirements of SWAT and Tactical EMS teams. The “MedCat” is equipped to provide operators with a safe and effective environment for handling trauma cases – its longer body design allows space for two litters to be secured while leaving enough space for other passengers to continue operations. Also included are two oxygen tanks, a lighted work station, and ample compartments for medical supplies. In addition, the MedCat has a radio compartment work station and a roof hatch with a gunner’s stand that allow the vehicle to conduct tactical missions.
All BearCat models are built with Mil-Spec steel armor plate certified to defeat multi-hit attacks from 7.62 AP / .50 Cal BMG, while ceilings and floors provide enhanced blast and fragmentation protection. Ballistic glass windows offer multi-hit defeat, and also provide superior clarity. Due to low maintenance costs, ease of use, and this superior armor level the BearCat is widely recognized as the standard in tactical vehicle platforms for law enforcement agencies worldwide.
