Officer Quick Chat: SafariVault

The SafariVault holster debuted at SHOT Show 2023 in Las Vegas in January. David Higginbotham, Product Marketing Manager for The Safariland Group, spoke to Officer Media Group Editor Paul Peluso about what sets the company’s newest addition apart from its other holster lines. “It is an injection-molded holster, very similar to what we have had in the past with our 7TS line,” says Higginbotham. “That 7TS style is carrying over to Vault. We took a third holster family and we have built in a lot of the criticisim we had received off of the 6TS line, a lot of the changes that were made and requested over the last 12-13 years of the 7TS line, and we built them into one specific big, overbuilt holster body that accommodates all of those very specific changes.” Higginbotham says that Safariland started the construction of the SafariVault holster with security in mind. “We wanted to build the absolute strongest holster body Safariland has ever built. Instead of doing the full together design, we went back and we molded this one in two pieces and they bolt together. It’s an exceptionally strong body.
