The MSHA/NIOSH-approved supplied air respirators in full-mask and half-mask styles are soft and pliable for low pressure, continuous flow protection. Allegro Industries' family of disposable hoods offers a loose-fitting alternative to masks that are especially comfortable for bearded workers. Included in this family is the DuPont Tyvek Hood, and a group of fully disposable hoods designed with the down-tube integrated into the hood so there's no need for decontamination. Available models include a poly-coated Tyvek, a poly-coated Tyvek with a double bib for extra protection and a saran-coated Tyvek hood that protects against a broad range of chemicals. All Allegro respirators incorporate an over-the-shoulder design to keep the 50 or 100 feet of air hose out of the way.
