MSA's new Millennium CBRN Gas Mask is a NIOSH-certified CBRN full-facepiece air-purifying respirator (APR). This new gas mask provides first responders with effective respiratory protection against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) agents that might be used in a terrorist attack. MSA's Millennium Gas Mask incorporates a flexible one-piece polyurethane lens with wide field of vision bonded to a durable Hycar rubber facepiece. A drinking tube provides connection for hydration. The Millennium dual-canister mount allows for weapon sighting from either shoulder. The mask is easy to don, adjust, and remove, thanks to its fully elastic six-point head harness. Lens fogging is prevented by an internal nosecup, which deflects air from the lens. A standard mechanical speaking diaphragm is included, or MSA's optional ESP II® Communications System may be added. A butyl-coated nylon hood is also available for head protection.
