When fitted with the ADAC unit, the AP2C becomes the APACC (portable chemical control and alarm apparatus), pictured. The ADAC unit is fitted to the AP2C in place of the battery tray. However, the AP2C can still be used at any time as an alarm apparatus for chemical contamination. The APACC provides an alarm at a given dose, that is for a given product of agent concentration and elapsed time. There is a visible alarm and an audible alarm which is reset by holding the push button on the ADAC for six seconds. The information can be relayed up to 400 meters via an alarm report module using a RS 485 twisted pair link. T
