Chinook Medical Gear, Inc. improved its comprehensive LIFE™ Kit Line (Lifesaving Interventions For Emergencies). Chinook LIFE™ Kits are the answer to emerging standards and protocol for Mass Casualty and Active Shooter events. These kits allow bystanders to provide treatment on scene during the critical period of time between injury and arrival of medical professionals. Controlling blood loss is priority one in these scenarios and a few minutes can mean the difference between life or death.

Designed for any bystander to render lifesaving treatment at a school, office, public building, or outdoor venue, each kit includes color-coded “Just in Time” product instructions to enable the minimally trained first care provider. They are compact and lightweight and easily fit in glove boxes, desk drawers, cargo pockets and more. The LIFE™ Kits are available in Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced options, with five different tourniquet selections offered. The supplies included in each kit address severe bleeding and penetrating chest wounds (advanced kits only). The Chinook LIFE™ Pack includes five individual vacuumed-sealed LIFE™ Kits and one casualty extraction litter. The LIFE™ Kits are easily accessed through the unique dispensing system on the front of the LIFE™ Pack; simply grab one, two or more LIFE™ Kits, or take the entire LIFE™ Pack with you. The Chinook LIFE™ Pack is intended to be used in conjunction with the Chinook LIFE™ Station, a wall-mounted box centrally located in public areas just like an AED. The Chinook LIFE™ Pack can also be used as a pre-positioned/stand alone medical kit.

Chinook’s line of LIFE™ Kits are specially designed to be used by the general population to stop bleeding. A publicly accessible LIFE™ Kit provides bleeding control supplies to the people who can make the biggest lifesaving impact, those already at the scene of a developing public health emergency.
