Cadre5 has developed the SensorNet SNAPS II Mobile Unit, one of the first mobile anti-terrorist chemical and radiological detection systems for commercial use in the United States. This system can detect chemicals and nuclear materials released accidentally or by terrorists at events that attract thousands of people, such as sporting events or community festivals. Capable of deployment over a 10-square-mile area, the SNAPS unit monitors if chemicals or nuclear materials are released into the air, determining the type of material, as well as the speed and direction of the wind. The system also provides guidance for the best possible ways to evacuate.
