Adams Arms addresses current problems and desired modifications for assault rifles with its introduction of the "AR-15 fix." Adams Arms manufactures its Retro-Fit Piston Driven Cycling System for the AR-15 and M-16 rifle, featuring a piston driven system to replace the problematic impingement system currently associated with the mil-spec AR-15 and M-16 style rifles. The system works by completely eliminating hot gasses and carbon from entering the bolt carrier. This prevention of hot gasses in the receiver help to improve accuracy by lowering recoil, allowing faster target acquisition, and make the weapon more reliable over a longer term of use. The piston driven system from Adams Arms also allows easy access from the front of the block, without having to remove the hand guard.
