Blackheart International's BHI-15 MIL-SPEC Complete Upper Receivers follow the profile of standard AR-15 mid-length systems, the BHI-15 MIL-SPEC assembly starts with an A3 flat-top upper receiver forged from 7075 T6 aluminum, to which is added a detachable carry handle/adjustable peep rear sight.
Fitted to the A3 upper is a medium-contour 16-inch Criterion barrel. A division of Kreiger Barrels, the Criterion barrel is manufactured from 4140 steel, then button-rifled to a 1:9 twist and chambered for 5.56mm NATO. In addition to its exacting tolerances and sub-MOA accuracy, the barrel is treated to a highly durable, low-glare Manganese Phosphate finish and chrome bore lining. A mid-length polycarbonate hand guard set, front sight/gas block, sling swivel and A2 flash hider complete the assembly.
The BHI-15 MIL-SPEC Complete Upper Receiver is a drop-in replacement for your current AR-15 type system, or can be purchased in conjunction with Blackheart International's BHI-15 "Builder" custom lower receiver kit for a complete build-your-own AR-15 platform.
