Incorporated in August 2017 and located in upper New York State, Vara Safety is a company dedicated to bringing effective home protection to firearms safety. Their first product is Reach, a patented biometric handgun safe that allows the user to simultaneously unlock the firearm using a fingerprint reader while drawing the handgun from a holster. Vara has won the 2018 Fuzehub Manufacturing Grant from the Jeff Lawrence Innovation Fund and most recently, a grant award from the Veteran Affairs Gun Safety Matters Challenge.
