Insight Technology Inc. introduces the MIL-Spec SSL-1 pistol or rifle mounted tactical illuminator. Offering the rugged performance of a Luxeon LED, housed in a Type III hard-coat anodized aerospace-grade aluminum body, the SSL-1 generates more than 80 lumens of brilliant white light with more than one hour of continuous run time. The SSL-1 provides facial recognition up to 25 meters with a tight 6-foot hot spot. The Luxeon LED has more than a 10,000 hour life span therefore there is never a need to change a bulb in the SSL-1. Attaching to pistols or rifles with the use of Insight Technology's patented adjustable Slide-Lock interface, the SSL-1 has an unbeatable ambidextrous rocker switch allowing for ease of use to left or right-handed operators. The MIL-Spec SSL-1 runs on two 3-volt lithium 123 batteries, weighs just 4 ounces with batteries and is waterproof to 66 feet.
