Springfiled Armory announces another category of XD Pistol: The 45 ACP Compact. It is a 4-inch barreled pistol with a shortened grip frame for easier carry. Each gun comes with two magazines, a 10-round compact magazine and a 13- round Service Model magazine with XD Gear X-Tension. The 45 ACP compact provides a great carry alternative to the full-sized 45 ACP XD. In addition to the extended magazine size, the X-Tension gear adds a 1/2-inch in the Compact's height and only .05-pounds in weight.
