GLOCK released a video over the weekend previewing its new G42 handgun, which is set to be unveiled at SHOT Show in Las Vegas later this month.
Chris Reese, Warranty Tech Supervisor for GLOCK, Inc. North America in Smyrna, Ga. gave a first look at the new .380 caliber model.
"It's the smallest gun we've ever made, ideal for concealed carry," he said. "You guys have been asking for it for a while and we're bringing it to you."
The gun is made entirely in the U.S. and Reese said the new model is just as durable and reliable as GLOCK models currently on the market.
"I've put thousands of rounds through this gun," he said. "There are no cycle or feed errors -- this thing just keeps on running."
The gun come equipped GLOCK's Safe Action System and is a single-stack, making it much thinner than the 26 model.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation's annual Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) will be held Jan. 14-17 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
