Greeley, PA – Magnum Research is proud to be a Silver Sponsor of the Scholastic Action Shooting (SASP) National Championship. The event will take place at the Cardinal Center in Marengo, OH July 9-16.
The family-friendly championship event invites youth, 12 years old through college age, to compete in a 4-station timed action shooting event – which includes four “Low Ready” challenges: Focus, Go Fast, In & Out, and Speed Trap. The SASP program is designed to teach young people about fair play, individual responsibility, sportsmanship, self-discipline and personal commitment while also competing in a fun event.
As a Silver Sponsor, Magnum Research has donated five .22 rifles from their Magnum Lite series. One of the donations is the MLR22ATUT which is a 22LR rifle featuring the new Ultra Barrel. This 18-1/2” long, high-tech, modular tensioned-type barrel took Magnum Research over a year to develop and is extraordinary accurate, in part, because of the patented heat sink located inside the barrel. The MLR22ATUT measures 36-5/8” in length and weighs less than 5 pounds. This model can also accommodate a suppressor and has muzzle threads of ½ x 28. Other features include: 1 in 16 twist, Bentz chamber, a black polymer ambidextrous thumbhole stock design with a comb designed for scopes, integral Weaver-type scope mount base on the receiver, and an extended magazine release. MSRP on the rifle is $596.00.
Also donated by Magnum Research is the MLR22H. This .22LR Hogue® OverMolded™ rifle is from the Magnum Lite® Series and features a patented graphite barrel which makes it lighter weight and has better heat dissipation than that of steel while still maintaining rigidity. This exceptionally accurate rifle features a 17” barrel, an overall length of 35.5” and weighs in less than 5 pounds. The integral rail can accommodate Weaver style rings for optics. The stock is a Hogue OverMolded model. The MSRP on the MLR22H is $669.
