Calif. Police Officer Disarms Student with Loaded Gun at School

During a brawl at a Stockton high school, one student drew a loaded handgun, but a school resource officer was able to wrestle the firearm away from the 17-year-old boy.

A California police officer disarmed a student who was brandishing a loaded handgun during a high school brawl Monday.

The incident happened after a group of students began fighting at Lincoln High School in Stockton at lunch, Bay City News reports. During the brawl, one student pulled out a gun, but a Stockton police school resource officer was able to wrestle the firearm away from the 17-year-old boy, who was taken into custody.

No shots were fired during the brawl and the struggle with the officer. Two students suffered minor injuries in the incident.
