Watch Okla. Police Take Down Man Suspected of Exposing Self to Girl

Jan. 14, 2025
Hours after posting a photo of a man accused of exposing himself to a girl at a retail store, Edmond police received calls about the suspect, and officers needed a Taser to subdue him.

Oklahoma police needed to use Taser to apprehend a wanted man accused of exposing himself to a girl after diners recognized him at a fast-food restaurant only hours last month.

The incident, which was captured in recently released body camera footage, happened Oct. 21 after Edmond police received calls concerning an individual—identified as Jeffrey Osburn—who was suspected of exposing himself to a girl in a TJ Maxx store, KOKH-TV reports. Hours earlier, the department had posted a photo of the suspect online.

Callers told police that the suspect was at a Chick-fil-A restaurant, and officers converged on that location. At the restaurant, they asked Osburn to step outside to talk, and that's when he made a break.

A foot chase ensued. It finally ended when an officer was able to deploy his Taser and subdue the man.

Osburn was arrested and charged with obstruction, and he posted bond. Police secured an arrest warrant stemming from the incident at TJ Maxx, and Osburn was arrested Dec. 19 for felony lewd acts to a child under 16.
