Appleton, WI, August 28, 2024—Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP), a leading provider of law enforcement equipment and tactical training, has hired Rene Ramos as the new Director of Sales for the southeast US region. Ramos will be responsible for law enforcement agency and distributor relationships in a six-state territory.
Ramos comes to ASP after a 21-year career in law enforcement, retiring this year from the Hillsborough County, Florida, Sheriff’s Department. Prior to his time in law enforcement, he served in the United States Marine Corps. “Rene has actually been a member of the extended ASP family—as a law enforcement Instructor and Trainer—since 2009,” says Daryell Harmon, ASP’s Vice President of Sales. “So he comes to us ready to roll with fifteen years of experience and subject matter expertise.”
Harmon says that the mission of ASP’s dedicated sales team goes way beyond selling. “Sales Directors are responsible for distributor and agency relationships, assisting the organization of our law enforcement training programs, and more.” He concludes that “with his policing experience, years of expertise with the tools and training we provide, and boundless energy and enthusiasm, we know Rene is going to be an incredible asset to the territory and our business as a whole.”
Ramos will maintain his residence in Florida, which will be his base of operations in his new role at ASP.
