Suspect Uses Taser on Phoenix Police Officer

Officers responded to a domestic violence call at home near 54th Street and Greenway Road to find 26-year-old Thomas Berry destroying items inside the home and punching holes in a door, according to The Arizona Republic

Phoenix Police spokesman Sgt. Jonathan Howard said that Berry became violent and charged the officers.

The suspect first attempted to gain control of one of the officers' gun before he grabbed an officer's Taser, removed the probes and shocked the officer in the leg.

Berry was subdued and arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault on an officer and resisting arrest.
