Appleton, WI, September 24, 2019—Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP), a leading provider of law enforcement products and training, recently concluded its annual ASP Trainer Certification (ATC) in Bordeaux, France. Over the weeklong event, 31 current Trainers were recertified and 16 new Trainers graduated. This year’s ATC also introduced new equipment and protocols to the ASP training program, including the use of ASP’s new Transport System, new Tri-Fold single-use restraints, and more.
ASP Trainers are police officers and other law enforcement professionals, chosen and qualified by their peers to conduct Armament Systems’ courses around the world. The company’s flagship program, the 3-day ASP Instructor Course (AIC), is provided at no cost to law enforcement officers and agencies. The course teaches the integrated use of batons, restraints and tactical flashlights. To date, ASP has conducted more than 500 such courses, certifying nearly fifty-thousand Instructors. Each year, the most promising of these Instructors are offered the opportunity to proceed to the next level and attend the ASP Trainer Certification. ATC is regarded by those who have completed it as one of the most challenging and fulfilling training programs in law enforcement.
Next year’s ASP Trainer Certification will be conducted in Las Vegas, and in 2021 is slated to travel to Bangkok, Thailand. For more information, visit https://www.asp-usa.com/pages/training-programs
