Designed to be the one simple tool for First Responders, the Broco Ultimate Breacher Tool (UBT) combines four tools into one: a sledge, pry, ram and rake.
Whether it be an active shooter event, medical related or some other emergency, the first person on‐scene needs basic entry capability that is easy to carry, easy to use.
The Pry Tool
Cold cut from AR500 armor plate, the UBT’s pry head is tapered, angled and strong! The pry tip is 1.25” wide allowing it to also be used as a duckbill with lateral spreading capabilities. The pry head is welded to a high strength chrome‐moly shaft before that assembly is welded to the sledge head. The shaft is reinforced with a 6” X 1” diameter solid steel insert for unparalleled strength.
The Sledge
The UBT starts with an 8 lb sledge head, machined to fit the pry tool and handle. The sledge is used as a hammer to break, bend and open. When used with another UBT or Halligan, it will set the pry tip deeper in the gap.
The Door Ram
Reverse the grip on the handle of Broco’s UBT and swing it across the body; the bottom of the sledge becomes a ram for striking residential doors. The ‘D’ handle allows the operator to get plenty of power without his hands slipping.
The Rake
At some point someone will need to break a window and when they do Broco has incorporated a glass rake to the underside of the pry tool for efficient clearing of broken glass from the window frame. This minimizes risk of injury from cuts resulting from jagged edges.
A Choice of Handles
Broco’s Ultimate Breacher Tool is offered with either a ‘D” handle or straight handle. The ‘D’ handle is welded 1/4” x 1 1/4” steel so it won’t bend or flex. A textured rubber grip reduces slipping and cushions the hand. The ‘D’ handle provides more ramming power and makes carrying easier.
The straight handle version of the UBT is offered at the request of military customers who carry the tool on a pack or in a tube on their vest. It features a 12” long textured rubber grip. The plastic end plug can be removed for insertion of rebar to increase leverage.
