Two Arizona Police Officers Recovering After Being Shot Serving Protection Order

Two Tempe, Arizona police officers were wounded in an exchange of gunfire with a suspect Monday afternoon.
The two female officers were serving a protection order for an assault victim shortly before 3 p.m. near Baseline and Mill in Tempe, according to The Arizona Republic.
Tempe Police Chief Sylvia Moir said that after the officers entered the home, a woman's boyfriend shot at them, striking one once in the upper body. The other police officer was struck three times.
An officer returned fire, striking the suspect, who was later found dead.
One of the officers was released from the hospital and is recovering at home while the seond officer was in good condition and still receiving treatment at the hospital.
