The incident, which left a 31-year-old man dead and a Greenfield police officer critically injured, happened in August following a traffic stop and chase.

A Wisconsin police department released edited dashboard and body camera footage of an August shooting that left one man dead and an officer critically injured.

The incident involving Greenfield police happened Aug. 22 when 31-year-old Tyran C. Lamb ran a red light, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. An officer pulled over Lamb, who initially stopped before speeding away as backup arrived at the scene.

A chase ensued, and spike strips were deployed to stop the car, which crashed into another vehicle. When police ordered Lamb to raise his hands multiple times, he allegedly opened fire through his car window, wounding an officer.

When Lamb got out of his car, he leaped over the injured officer before police finally shot and killed him.

The wounded officer has been with the department for three years and is recovering at home.

Parts of the video footage was edited because the case is still under investigation, according to the Journal Sentinel.
