Axon Federal Presents the 'Future of Base Security - Today' at AUSA 2023
As we gear up for the highly anticipated AUSA 2023, the Association of the U.S. Army's Annual Meeting and Exposition, Axon Federal is excited to share new products and pivotal updates that will help military police and investigative agencies improve safety and security on installations. From intermediate force capabilities to enhanced situational awareness, the Axon Ecosystem provides increased security to service members and their families on base.
United States Army Renews TASER Device Program
The U.S. Army, with support from Congress, will deploy new TASER devices to base military police as a part of the Launched Electrode Stunned Device (LESD) program. This new deployment will backfill critical training shortages in an effort to combat reports of increased crime on base and intelligence operations conducted by foreign adversaries. Most importantly, it will equip military police with better TASER devices while working to keep installations safe and secure for all military families that call them home.
The renewed investment in the LESD program represents a monumental step forward in the Department of Defense (DoD) commitment to replacing and modernizing its less-lethal energy weapons. With this new deployment, the U.S. Army will modernize its fleet of TASER devices so base police can continue to keep both civilians and those who serve our nation safe. Axon is honored to be entrusted with providing advanced, less-lethal solutions to the Department of Defense.

U.S. Axon FedCloud Awarded DoD IL4 Provisional Authorization
Axon is excited to announce that the US Axon FedCloud has achieved a DoD Provisional Authorization by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at Impact Level 4 (IL4).
This authorization opens the door for DoD and other Federal agencies with IL4 information security requirements to begin using the complete Axon Network. Our cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solution empowers critical workflows for real-time operations, records management and digital evidence management. This authorization allows military police and criminal investigators ingest, manage and review essential data from body-worn cameras, in-car video and other sensors in a secure, cloud based platform.
Axon FedCloud also achieved FedRAMP high last year. Axon’s cloud based solutions are currently being used by federal law enforcement agencies across the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of Interior and Department of Veterans Affairs.
AUSA 2023
Axon Federal is excited to return to AUSA, the largest defense technology forum in North America. This year, Axon will showcase its ecosystem of connected products in a first-of-its-kind short film entitled the “Future of Base Security - Today.” In addition to the film, there will be opportunities within the booth to interact with our latest technology first-hand.
Attendees will have the opportunity to fire our recently-released TASER 10 device and jump into our new Federal Fleet 3 vehicle, built to meet the needs of military police.
We will also be displaying the Axon Body 4, our latest and most high-tech sensor and video-capture device for military police, SRTs and investigative agencies. There will be a demonstration of all of the capabilities Axon Body 4 has to offer, including its bi-directional communications feature and a smaller Flex POV camera accessory that meets MIL-STD requirements for Army SRTs, SWAT and other tactical teams. Through these technology solutions, we aim to support the the critical military law enforcement mission and help the Army invest in the protection of their people and their installations.
Additionally, attendees will be able to learn more about Axon's latest acquisition, Sky-Hero. Sky-Hero specializes in mission-ready rugged tactical uncrewed ground vehicles (UGVs) and uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones. These products are purpose-built for indoor close-quarters tactical reconnaissance in dark, obstacle-rich environments and GPS-denied areas. Sky-Hero's indoor Loki MKII sUAV drone is National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) compliant.
Dedrone, a worldwide leader in airspace security and a key partner of Axon since 2021, will also be showcasing their counter-drone technology at the Axon booth.
