Appleton, WI, February 8, 2021— Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP), a leading manufacturer of law enforcement products, has introduced Enhanced Red Guns—the latest generation of the company’s iconic line of safe replica training weapons. The new Enhanced variants feature removable magazines, adding realistic yet completely safe reload manipulations to the Red Gun’s benefits.
ASP Red Guns have been a fixture in law enforcement and military training, as well as civilian self-defense instruction, for many years. Defensive tactics and martial arts instructors favor the solid polymer pistols, rifles and knives as they allow for real-world training without the safety risks or property concerns of having actual weapons in the training environment. Red Guns are steel reinforced and virtually indestructible, so they will hold up under years of the toughest use. They are molded from the original firearms, so they fit perfectly in model-specific holsters and provide the user with tactile familiarity. The replicas are molded so precisely, in fact, that compatible actual magazines can be used interchangeably with the two included solid polymer magazines.
The new “drop-mag” feature was developed based on requests from major agencies and military units, who wanted to add reload manipulation to their training, while still getting the benefits of the unmistakably safe red weapons. As evidence of the demand for its patent-pending solution, ASP says that the French Army ordered and deployed five-thousand pistols and an equal number of rifles as soon as they became available.
Initial Enhanced Red Gun pistol models include the new military issue M17 and M18 (Sig Sauer P320 platform), and the Beretta Model 92. Long gun models include the M4 and HK416 carbines. Additional models are in development. Each Enhanced Red Gun ships with two magazines. For more information, or to find an ASP Distributor, visit www.asp-usa.com
