The MaxPatrol-600 Police bike patrol light was developed after many years of listening to the input of riders from all facets of the bike patrol community. The initial version quickly became the go-to light for bike patrols all over the United States and the additional feedback gathered was used to create the brand new DLX version of the MaxPatrol-600.
Crafted in a compact CNC’d aluminum housing, the light system consists of a very powerful 600 Lumen center headlight with pursuit lights on each side that emit an additional 200 lumens each. The headlight has a high beam and low beam mode and the pursuit lights have a standard wig-wag flash pattern and an additional rapid strobe mode for high emergency situations. The shape of the new housing creates increased side visibility, especially while in the pursuit emergency modes.
The optional taillight works in sync with the headlight and features a flashing red center commuter taillight that turns on when the center front headlight is on. When entering pursuit mode the taillight also features pursuit lights that will flash in the same pattern as the front light.
The MaxPatrol-600 DLX has the ability to turn on just the front light or solely the taillight in any mode adding much more flexibility for night time operations.
Operated by a wired remote switch, the rider does not need to move their hand off of the handlebar in order to operate this system. The light is powered by a lithium ion rechargeable battery that fits in the palm of a hand and can be mounted in various places on the bike frame. The battery life will easily last through an entire shift.
The MaxPatrol-600 has the ability to turn a bicycle into a more effective tool for Law Enforcement, especially when it comes to traffic stops and crowd control situations. It is not unusual to hear reports of civilians expressing that they thought they were being pulled over by a car when being stopped by a bicycle patrol officer using this light set.
