A 23-year-old suspect is accused of firing a shot in the air and stealing a 76-year-old man's vehicle at gunpoint before leading Toledo police officers on a chase.

Ohio police apprehended an armed suspect who is accused of stealing an elderly man's SUV at gunpoint and leading officers on a chase earlier this summer.

The incident happened just before 5:30 p.m. July 31 in Toledo when a suspect carrying a gun—identified as Michael Kahn, 23—allegedly approached a 76-year-old man and fired a shot in the air, WTVG-TV reports. Kahn then is accused of stealing the man's vehicle and driving off.

A chase ensued once police located the SUV, and the pursuit was recorded by officers' dashboard cameras. Kahn sped through intersections and weaved through traffic until finally pulling over.

Police pulled Kahn out of the SUV and arrested. On Aug. 8, he was indicted on aggravated robbery and other charges.
