When handling critical incidents involving hazardous materials, it is imperative that responders maintain a high level of training and have the most high tech equipment available to handle that particular situation. Matthews Specialty Vehicles has designed the MSV Series 6000 Mass Decontamination/Shower Trailer as a self-contained trailer capable of responding to any mass decontamination site. This trailer, available in several sizes, is equipped with individual shower stalls and changing stations depending on size. This trailer allows a person to enter from one side, undress and dispose of contaminated clothes through a clothes exit chute; shower; enter into the changing station; and exit out the other side. The water supply is fed by either a fire hydrant or fire pump truck to allow the flexibility to use locally or remotely. The contaminated water is then drained into an exterior removable bladder. Equipped with an on-board generator, 120/240 AC/DC electrical system and a gas water heater, this mass decontamination trailer can deploy to most locations in most weather situations.
