    A Massachusetts State Police trooper was taken to the hospital after his cruiser struck a utility pole and overturned on a foggy road in New Braintree.

    NEW BRAINTREE, MA—A state police vehicle overturned on West Brookfield Road early Wednesday, with a trooper rushed to a Worcester hospital.

    It appears the trooper was not seriously injured.

    The crash occurred about 8:15 a.m. at Prouty Road, with the SUV striking a utility pole. There was fog in the area at the time.
