Texas Police Department to Prosecute People Dancing on Cruiser

The Laredo Police Department announced Sunday, April 9 it is investigating a video circulating on social media featuring juveniles "explicitly dancing" on top of a police vehicle as the crowd from a large party was dispersed.
According to LPD, the incident occurred at approximately 10:09 p.m. on Saturday, April 8 when a call was received about loud music in the 1400 block of Doctora Eva Perez Lane.
Upon arriving, officers encountered a large party of juveniles and worked to disperse the crowd. When officers arrived back at their vehicle, they discovered multiple juveniles "explicitly dancing" on top of it. The video shows several juveniles dance on the vehicle while a large surrounding crowd cheers and films them.

Laredo Police Department Chief Steve Landin said the department will seek to prosecute the individuals involved.
"The Laredo Police Department does not condone this type of behavior. The department is reviewing the video and will not hesitate to prosecute the individuals involved," Landin said. "I also want to challenge the parents of these individuals to step forward and inform us of their wrongdoing and correct their behavior before they end up in circumstances that will destroy their futures."
LPD is encouraging anyone with information about the individuals seen in the video to send an anonymous tip through the LaredoPD app.
