Man Breaks Into Texas Sheriff's Office Unit to Smoke Cigarette, Listen to Music

When Laredo police investigated a suspicious person report, they discovered a man smoking and playing music inside a Webb County Sheriff's Office patrol cruiser after he broke into the unit.

A man broke into a Webb County Sheriff's Office unit and smoked a cigarette inside, according to Laredo police.

Police officers responded to a suspicious person report at about 3:06 a.m. June 24 in the 1000 block of Guadalupe Street.

The caller reported that a male had entered a parked Webb County Sheriff's Office unit, according to police.

As per the caller, the male was sitting on the driver's side and smoking inside while music was playing from the patrol unit, authorities said.

Shortly after, officers observed a male matching the description of the suspect walking near the intersection of Guadalupe and Hendricks Avenue.

Authorities identified the suspect as Ricardo Fraga, 29.

Fraga was arrested and charged with burglary of a vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor. Officers said they located the unit with the driver's door open and an odor of cigarette smoke inside.
