Pa. State Police Trooper Struck by Driver Suspected of Being High, Drunk

A Pennsylvania State Police trooper was parked in a construction zone along the interstate in Swatara Township when a driver found with a THC vape pen struck the trooper's cruiser.

A motorist who was drunk and high on marijuana struck a state trooper’s cruiser that was guarding a construction zone Thursday, police said.

The state police trooper was parked at a construction site on I-83 in Swatara Township Thursday when the driver of a 2011 Ford Ranger hit the cruiser, state police said.

State police said the driver of the Ford, a 36-year-old man, had a THC vape pen when they arrested and searched him.

No one was hurt in the crash, according to state police spokesperson Megan Frazer.
