A Little Falls police officer was hospitalized in stable condition after his cruiser slammed into a building and mangled the front end of his vehicle.

A Little Falls police officer was hospitalized Thursday after his patrol car crashed into a building, authorities said.

The New Jersey PBA released a photo on X of a police SUV with severe front-end damage and said the officer, a member of the union, was in stable condition at an area hospital.

“Please keep him and his family in your prayers. Thank you to all who reached out with concern,” the union said in a statement.

The crash occurred about 1:15 a.m. on Main Street in Little Falls, according to News12, which also reported the officer was not involved in a chase at the time of the crash.

In the photo, the mangled vehicle appears to be resting against a structure.

A Little Falls police spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
