Ohio Police Officer Injured in Fatal Head-On Collision

A Dublin police officer was taken to the hospital in stable condition after his patrol unit was struck head-on by another vehicle as he was leaving the Franklin County jail.
An Ohio police officer was injured in a head-on collision that left another person dead early Friday.
The incident happened at about 1:45 a.m. as Dublin Police Officer Larry Gatton was leaving the Franklin County jail and traveling along Interstate 70, The Columbus Dispatch reports. That's when another vehicle struck the officer's patrol car head-on.
Gatton, a five-year veteran with the department, was rushed to the hospital in stable condition. His injuries aren't considering life-threatening.
The driver of the other vehicle was killed in the crash.
No details were given concerning what led to the collision. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
